No. The file is read and drawn by your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so you can use client work under a confidentiality agreement.
A PNG or JPG is made of pixels and has no paths to read. With one, the tool still finds the edges of the logo for the grid and the clear space.
The usual rule measures X from the mark itself, such as its height or the height of one letter, so the zone scales with the logo. Type a value in pixels to use your own.
