A brand identity project ends in production: the grid, the guidelines, the exports, the delivery email. It is the part nobody hired you for and the part that makes the work usable. Anchr Tools exists so that part takes minutes, and so the delivery is a page the client keeps rather than a PDF they lose.
Why a link
Every designer has sent the same logo three times. The PDF was in an email that got archived, the folder was on a drive that changed owners, the version the printer used was not the last one. The problem is not the designer and not the client; it is the file. A file is a copy, and copies drift.
A hosted page does not drift. The client opens the same address every time and sees the current brand: colours to copy, files to download, rules to follow. When something changes, the designer publishes a new version and the address stays. That is the idea Anchr Tools is built around, and every tool in it feeds that page.
Why inside Illustrator
The brand already exists in the Illustrator file: the swatches, the fonts, the artboards with the three logos. Retyping it into a web tool is how errors get in. Anchr Tools reads the file and works where the designer already is, in a panel, on the document that is open.
Who makes it
Anchr Tools is made by Anchr SAS, a company registered in Nîmes and based in Vauvert, in the south of France. Olivier Reynaud is its president. It is a small company: writing to [email protected] reaches the people who build the panel.
